Spiced Turkey Sliders

 

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound ground turkey (if frozen defrost the night before.)
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon tumeric
  • 1 tablespoon corriander
  • Pinch of chili flakes
  • 1 Shallot diced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger

Servings: 4-6 small patties

Directions

In a large bowl combine ground turkey and all aromatics together. 

TIP: add all the ingredients in and then combine, do not overwork the meat as it will get tough.

Once all ingredients are incorporated, take a palm sized amount of meat and roll into a ball. (Because these are quick cooking patties, smaller sliders sized amounts are recommended.)

Place ball of meat on a parchment lined baking sheet or plate and press down to create a flattened round. Set aside.

In a non stick skillet or cast iron works great as well, add some EVOO and heat up.

Once the pan is fairly hot, place patties in for about 3 minutes or until one side is crisp. 

Flip and repeat for another 3 minutes on the opposite side.

Place a lid over the pan for about 2 - 3 minutes more to complete the cooking.

Serve along side a salad or fresh veggies!
